  • Pitta goes to the Ravens

He really fell farther than I thought he would, especially after an impressive combine. I hope he has a great career in Baltimore -- now there are 2 Stormin' Mormons there.

Didn't they draft a TE earlier as well? Interesting pick.
    I'm like LeBron James.

      Excellent.

      I love the Ravens.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

        What about Kruger and Ngata?

I think of Heaps as the "Stormin' Mormon" because that's what Chris Berman calls him. But yeah, Kruger and Ngata are there, too, along with John Beck.

Maybe the Ravens will be letting Heaps go, though.

I see. Five Mormons on a team. Is that some sort of record?

I think Pitta was a 4th or 5th rounder all along. At least it's with a good team.

The only record I am fairly certain about was the all-time NBA record of 3 Mormons on the Celtics (Ainge, Roberts, Kite). I think that is fairly safe.

As far as the NFL, the Ravens had 5 Mormons even last fall:

Didn't the Ravens take Ed Dickson yesterday in the 3rd round? Maybe they are going double tight a lot this year.

Cool to have both guys on the same team. Even though John McClain told me that Dickson wasn't in the same league as Pitta.

Even if they did, they need tight ends. Heap is the only one on the roster right now and he was also the only real receiving threat the Ravens had last year.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I attended a Ty Detmer fireside at the U institute, and he said one of his teams had nine.
