    bones of one case done.

    Almost done....

    Really almost done.....

The trim is up, painted, and books inserted, but I can't find my phone right now to snag the pictures.
    I intend to live forever.
    So far, so good.

Very nice. Is there going to be a desk in the middle?

I hate you. Can I pay you to spend your next week of vacation time teaching me finish carpentry?

          Moldings up, and all painted.

And most of the books put up. A special prize if you can identify any titles.

A credenza is going in the middle section, and a painting by my mommy. Opposite the bookcases are two big windows looking out into the front yard. The desk will sit about 4 feet in front of the bookcases, so that one might enjoy the view.
I'd like to build the desk, but that sounds very complicated. Maybe if I can find some easy plans for one.... It would be really fun to do.

What shape is the parquet flooring in? Hard to tell based on the photo quality. Is it worth refinishing or are you going to replace it eventually?

Brian, this is so impressive. It seriously looks amazing and you should be very proud.

Why the sudden outburst of home improvement? Are you fixing it up to sell or are you staying permanently and upgrading for the future?

did you install moldings throughout the house or simply in this one room?

In lieu of a painting by your mom, why not put up a large framed copy of that fecal matter chart that you sometimes post?

ps my book guess: are those twilight books in the lower left corner?
                  Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Now, with the molding added, it looks awesome. I am very impressed. Did you just come up with the plans yourself?
