  • Mountain West pushing for a BCS autobid

    http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/9...r-BCS-auto-bid

This article is a bit misleading. basically, Heir will push for a meeting with the BCS commissioner. there isn't even a meeting set yet.

I am optimistic that SU's fellating analysis of Utah football will prove accurate and that the BCS, now dead at the hands of the U, will capitulate.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

It was a good media play, no matter the outcome – which will be nothing.

Their media relations firm is smart. The Super Bowl hype machine doesn't kick into full throttle until tomorrow. The story got some good play today; the MWC and the SUGAR BOWL were in the news with no other CFB stories going on. The story was on the front page of ESPN most of the day.

This was a topic of discussion yesterday with Mark Neil on Dayton's Sports Scene 1410. All three callers agreed with Mark that the MWC was deserving of the autobid and that for at least this year, our conference was superior to the Big XI. It was shocking to me. I felt like I was in a bizarro world. Three straight bowl losses have turned Ohio State fans from obnoxious delusional to pathetic depressed. There was no fight left in them.

This is especially sad, since Ohio State carries the banner for the conference (in football, anyway).

I completely agree, if by "sad", you mean "awesome".

Does anyone really think Craig Thompson has the balls to get a meeting with the BCS commissioner? That guy couldn't even make it to the ceremony when BYU won the MWC championship. I don't think anything changes till we get someone with some balls as the commissioner.

He was at the Ute parade.

              Perhaps Utah is his favorite.

Or maybe Ute fans don't have the balls to boo Thompson?

This story is still getting play today...

Notice how Graham only uses the term "non-AQ" and not "non-BCS".

So Utah did or didn't destroy the system of the BCS. Sometimes this is confusing.

2/3 of your posts put into question someone's balls. I like your style.

Remember in New Hope how the rebels destroy the Death Star, but by the time Return of the Jedi comes along it's already being rebuilt? The BCS is kinda like the Death Star.
