Just so I have this correctly:
First, he gets offered a promotion/raise at the U. Accepts and then turns it down for no promotion/way more money at UW. Then for some reason he crawls back to KW for old job and presumably old salary.

The article BO posted said his wife leaving her assistant coaching position at Utah had something to do with it. (She is the womens soccer assistant coach). But he was also scheduled to make 200k a year at UW. So say a kid has Arod as his main recruiter, he gets attached to him, Roderick cant promise that kid that he will be here for 4 years. I think continuity is important for a kid when he is making his college choice.
