  • Bronco: Truly despicable

Bronco is a despicable, sanctimonious piece of shit who deserves to be beaten badly. The only consolation is how desperate he sounds. I hope the parents of these recruits are reading this because it ought to make their blood boil. Really, who does he think he is? What he is is just a coach who doesn't seem to be overly bright.

"My hope is that every young man who wants this experience comes to BYU. The only time I am disappointed, or agonize over it, is if a young man sees this experience, knows it will be the best thing for him and then chooses something else, possibly because of a name or a title or possibly even a reputation of, let's say, USC or something like that," he said in a recent one-on-one interview with The Tribune.

"To see them know that this is where they are supposed to be - because you can see it - and then choose something else, that is probably the one time that I become saddened by things like that."
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

    Link?

Did he really say that? If so, it doesn't sicken me nor does it anger me. It makes me laugh.

Wow, he is flirting dangerously with Roger Reid status on that recruiting quote.

Did he really call out SC specifically? Not one of his better moves.

He should focus on BYU's strong points and leave the guilt trip stuff out of it.

Well, that's why really perceptive people said what happened to Roger Reid was so unfair. Because that's the prevailing attitude down there. Rondo Fehlberg had been saying the same thing but a little more tactfully. You'd think they were talking about something other than football!

First, why are you reading cougarboard?

Second, I see that spaz is posting in that thread. He should be here.

Third, every time I read a cougarrsroll post, I am reminded why I always thought him to be a knucklehead.

Fourth, if this quote is accurate, sounds like SC can fight on with Manti Teo playing alongside Chris Galippo next year at The Shoe in Columbus.

Well, in fairness, that is the prevailing attitude at every school......if you aren't with us, you are making a mistake.

Bronco's flub in this case was naming another school specifically when implying that a kid is making a mistake. You just don't do that....even if he were to have mentioned the U, I would feel the same way.

It isn't fatal, life will go on. But from the sounds of it, Manti is coming to LA.

Because ghastly stuff like this pops up. It was on the front page.

Go to another school and lose your soul.

                  Manti and X take note.

See. It's not the same at every school.

I look at a Stanley Havili and I just have a hard time thinking that he wishes he chose BYU. He is loved here amongst the Trojan Family, he has been able to play meaningful roles in big games, he plays with the best athletes in the country, his OOC schedule puts him up against some of the biggest schools in college football, and he is being prepped well for his future career.

If a kid is blessed academically and goes to Harvard, that is a great choice.

Likewise, if a kid is blessed athletically and chooses to play football for SC or Texas or Florida or some other Harvard-equivalent for football, that is also a great choice.

I fail to see the mistake.

Bronco cracks me up. Didn't he go to Oregon State as a player? What is he yammering about?

He wanted BYU, but BYU didn't want him.

                          That thread was a hoot.

I mean, damn you for allowing me to look at that board!

BYU didn't have Bronco then. I bet he has a stigmata.
