    What do you reply? "At least our president isn't a puppet ruler, with a power-hungry Putin pulling the strings."

    Or, "At least our government isn't in bed with organized crime and robbing the people blind!"

      Putin means "little whore" in most Romance languages.

        Yes, in a French class we were talking about Putin, using our best French pronunciations. The instructor nearly fainted, telling us never to say that word. It is "Puchin."
