NCAA releases attendance figures for 2009 season. BYU comes in at 27th. MWC drew 800,000 people less than the Big East while playing 55 games opposed to 53. I guess in the ranking that matters to the BCS the MWC is still behind.

2.3-1.8 is that not 500,000 as opposed to 800?

33k average attendance is not great but the size of the stadiums in the MWC are a lot smaller. I wonder what the percentage of capacity would be. I am sure the Big East is much higher.

You are right I either transposed some numbers or am an idiot, both are likely.

I am really surprised UCLA averaged almost 65K at their games. I wonder if that is actual attendance or tickets sold?

In order to entice attendance, they gave away free hot dogs at a couple of their home games this last season.

UCLA is ripping off promo ideas from RC Willey? Pathetic.

I agree. Any school that does RC Willey promos at a football game needs some serious help.

Isn't RC Willey owned by Berkshire Hathaway? Sounds smart, not pathetic. What company do the Dayton Flyers rip off?

Looks like you two need to come to a consensus before trying to gang up on me.

This is why the BCS hasn't announced what their secret formula is to determine who will be eligible for auto-bids in 2012. At the end of the cycle, they'll decide that reports like this should weigh heavily.

Doesn't the Big East have 16 teams? How could they only play 53 games, while we played 55?

They don't all have DI football programs. Also, ND is only in the Big East in basketball. You didn't know this?
