Utah’s new arena football league team has signed former BYU defensive back James Allen. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Allen played for the Utah Valley Thunder of the American Indoor Football Association last season. He played at BYU from 2001-2003.
Allen was fourth on BYU’s team in tackles his senior season with 57 in 11 games.

I think James Allen had as much if not more talent than any player to ever play in BYUs secondary. The guy was a beast.

The BYU 2003 defense was the most fun defense to watch in recent memory. It's a shame the offense was completely inept.

2003 defense + 2008 or 2009 offense = 13-0
