    The best news of the day from the Washington DC area...

    The Orioles and Nick Markakis have agreed to a 6 year extension worth $66M. Add to this the trade with the Cubs that got Pie to Baltimore and the Os may have a solid outfield next year.

    Will Pie play over Adam Jones in center? If it is an outfield of Jones, Markakis and Pie that is a very good young outfield.

        Dunno. I like the idea of moving Jones or Pie to LF and having all three for your pointing out that it would be young and very good.

        True, but I think power can be overrated. I'd rather have 7 or 8 slap and run kind of batters who can get on base than have a lot of power. But that's just me.

          That is what they have Aubrey Huff for.

          The fans that I sat by as well as the client that I watched the game with while I was back in Baltimore hated Aubrey Huff. Didn't have anything good to say about him.
