    January/February championships

    Go ahead and laugh about February championships. How is the way the February Champ is picked any different from how Florida was ranked no. 1 over Utah in the final January poll last year? It's the same thing.

    How does finishing no better than 3rd in the lowly MWC in four out of the last five years feel? Maybe you should worry more about November championships than about January or February championships.

        This is actually a really good point.

        By the way, which MWC will come out on top in the ILiveInMyMomsBasementAndThisIsMyWebsite.com February championship this year? I try to keep the pulse on that guy after he awarded the national championship to the Utes last year.

          I understand. It's natural to care about conference standings when you are actually close to the top, but the rest of the teams are pretty apathetic. For example, I couldn't tell you where BYU finished in 2002-2004; I just know it was bad.

            How does an undefeated season in the last 25 years feel?

            Never mind. 1984 was 26 years ago.

                  Not even a full minute? What kind of fan are you? When BYU loses to Utah I feel bad the rest of the weekend. Granted, those losses have been few and far between!

                    Well, in my defense, I was never a student at the U. The connection that alumni have isn't there.

                    But it did hurt me to the core that Dayton beat Marist. I still haven't recovered from that.
