  • Would you miss a nonsunday block meeting to watch the Super Bowl

So have a Stake Priesthood Meeting scheduled for 5:00 during the Super Bowl. Takes an hour to get to were meeting will be held. Who here would miss those types of meetings and firesides to see the Super Bowl?

My problem with having those meetings during the Super Bowl is now people will be texting sor info whole time during church. Good way to get rid of reverence. That is why I think bad idea to have meetings then. Not so you can watch the Super Bowl but with technology people will be texting rather than listening to either a boring or spiritual speaker.

It's really dumb to schedule a church meeting at the same time as the Superbowl. The mullahs will do it just top prove to everyone else they are more worthy.

My advice is to tell your ecclesiastical leader you had a prior engagement to watch the Super Bowl.

I misunderstood. So this is just stake priesthood? I'd blow that Popsicle stand!

There's a CES fireside on the first Sunday of every month during the school year, broadcast worldwide for all YSAs. Now that the Super Bowl is usually played on the first Sunday in February, attendance at that particular fireside has become an additional dating filter for those who require their potential mate to be the second coming of Gordon B. Hinckley.
