  • Magic 70 point mark

I liked that brilliant observation last game by the MTN crew. "The Cougars have hit the magic 70 mark. BYU is 11-2 in games where they reach 70 points." Something like that. Of course they left out they are 1-0 in games they fail to reach 70 points.

Cougs are rolling. I'd like to see more of an inside offensive threat, but this team definitely has potential to do good things.

This reminds me of the quote during the NC game, when they said that after heavy statistical analysis, Meyer had realized that in games in which they blocked a kick, they won 90% of the time. Isn't that pretty close to their winning percentage anyway?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

BYU is a good college hoops team. CSU sucks ass, but that blitz in the last 3 minutes of the second half and the first 6 minutes of the second half was a thing a beauty. Further, it was on the road.

This is how I see the conference. Three teams suck ass: WYO, AF and CSU. BYU should blow out these teams home and away. Two teams are average in TCU and UNM. BYU will have to play well to beat either of these teams on the road, but the Y most assuredly can beat these clubs on the road and if BYU is good enough to win an NCAA game they should be able to. I view SDSU and Utah as clear above average teams, both teams should beat BYU on their home floor. I think both UNLV and BYU are good teams. I cannot see BYU beating UNLV in Vegas, even with the two lackluster performances from the Rebs the past two games. Once Wink gains his form and re-establishes himself as UNLV's go to man the Rebs will start rolling again.

I think BYU will finish 12-4 or 13-3. I think the conference is better than last year and I think it gets at least two teams in the dance and maybee 3, especially with Utah's high RPI.

I can't imagine being down 37 points on your home court. I felt sorry for the Rams.

I do like their home court though. I think all college teams should do a similar type of floor scheme with either a picture of the mascot or school initials. I think Moby looks rad....."up your ass with a hot poker!"

When BYU gets on a roll, they can really roll. At times they played as well on Saturday as they did the previous Saturday in Provo. I know I am a hopeless romantic when it comes to Y hoops, but I really believe this club will get that breakthough elusive tourney win. I think then, if Rose sticks around BYU, it will start to happen fairly regularly.

lol. I think of that movie and that terrific quote every time I see that court.

BYU went on a 47-16 run at the end of the first half and start of the 2nd. That was sick.
