Football: Davis sophomore Troy Hinds, DE, gets offer from BYU
The father of Davis High sophomore Troy Hinds has confirmed that BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall offered Troy Hinds a scholarship this morning in Mendenhall’s office.
Hinds, who just completed his sophomore season by helping the Darts make it to the 5A state championship game, also has an offer from Utah.
His brother, Tanner Hinds, a senior, recently committed to Weber State.
Troy Hinds is a 6-5, 225-pound defense end with excellent speed for an athlete his size. He made 96 tackles last season and had eight sacks. He was an all-state and all-region selection.
