It's interesting to see the high population areas where there's nothing personally involved: California and the Northeast. These areas are about 65/35 in favor. I didn't realize the BCS was that unpopular.

Basically the entire world except Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, and all the SEC states think that Boise State deserves a title shot. And the margins are pretty significant.

What the poll indicates to me that the only people that think the BCS is fair this year are the fans with a connection to the teams in the game.

I don't think it means the SEC states in general like the BCS. I'll bet if you did this poll back when Auburn was undefeated, the SEC states would be strongly against the BCS.
