  • Why do the bowls need to be preserved?

In EVERY single bowl (except the national championship game), a key issue is "which team is more motivated". Every frickin bowl game we have to listen to announcers speculate about which team might not be interested in playing the game. How crappy is that? It's the post-season. It should be the most exciting time with the most interest. It's clearly not if every game has a sideline issue about one or both teams not being interested in the game. This really pisses me off as a fan.

Dump the bowls! All of them.

It'a almost Nfl playoff time! The Chargers are the hottest team in the league and they should be voted into the Super Bowl ahead of Indy. The Colts may have a better record but they lost last week. Meanwhile the recent losses of the Saints and Vikings makes it difficult to decide who their opponent should be? How about the Eagles, they won the most difficult conference and would bring in better ratings than Nola.

And let's have New England play Dallas, in Los Angeles. Denver can play Arizona in Jerryland, and Cincy can play Green Bay in Miami. Win or lose, it wouldn't make sense for the teams to play more than one game, so let's give them new watches, iPods and a hat. Certainly everyone will bring their A-game, right?

Ultimately, every bowl other than the championship game is meaningless. The bowl system is a joke, indeed.
