  • Another PAC 10 Powerhouse Getting Smoked

Anyone watching this? How can a PAC 10 school lose to a team like Temple?
Just try it once. One beer or one cigarette or one porno movie won't hurt. - Dallin H. Oaks

Yeah, I'm watching this game and UCLA is stinking it up. What happened to all that Norm Chow magic?
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I heard John Feinstein say this year's Pac 10 may be the worst major conference ever. Much worse even than the SEC last year. It's bizarre. It has a winning pct. as a conference of about 33% and has played a lot of teams that are usually patsies.

I picked Temple in the bowl pick contest. Good to know that 7th place in the P10, and you consider them a powerhouse.

UCLA a powerhouse? FUCLA is to the P-10 like UNLV is to the MWC, they are mediocre most years at best. They have been and will always be a basketball school. With that said no one should ever lose to Temple in FB.

Bear in mind this is the Eaglebeak bowl and UCLA was 3-6 in the Pac 10.

If this year is any indication, the PAC 10 shouldn't send any more than 3 teams to bowls at the very most. This should put the depth argument to rest. The PAC 10 has none.

                  Down with the bowl system!

You and 71 should combine forces and tilt at the same windmill. You would get more done.

If last year is any indication the MWC should only send 2 schools to bowls, since one of them lost to a 5th place P10 team that in your opinion shouldn't go to bowls.

It was TIC. I don't really think UCLA is a powerhouse. If UCLA is UNLV, then what is Washington State?

I'm with you. No conference should send more than 2 teams to bowls. Bowls are worthless. They reward teams that aren't even good enough to be mediocre.

Be honest. Do you think Oregon would stay within 21 points of TCU?

Think about the 1995 BYU team that ended the long bowl streak. I think a lot could be fixed in college football without a playoff. Send 18-20 teams back down to the FCS level and eliminate 10-15 bowls.
