With Urban Meyer planning on having at least a foot still in the Florida program -- with possibly plans to return -- there are looming questions about who will do what for the Gators.
For example, who will have the final call in deciding who to hire as the new defensive coordinator to replace Charlie Strong? That's what ESPN.com's Chris Low asked, concluding that Meyer will end up being the overlord of it all, whether it's official or not.
Although Meyer probably won't be the coach at any point next season, he reportedly has a hand in the process of hiring Strong's replacement, along with interim coach Steve Addazio, safeties coach Chuck Heater and cornerbacks coach Vance Bedford. But Meyer appears to be the head man here.
This role Meyer has already begun to mold for himself may turn out to be similar to that of a GM in the NFL. It's unclear whether Meyer will make recruiting visits or whether he'll have authority on personnel matter. But chances are if he wants something, he'll get it.
