The computers aren't perfect, but until the champion is decided on the field as opposed to by someones vote, it is figure skating.

The computer polls are a ruse by SU.

The computer polls are used to determine the BCS rankings. the BCS champ is automatic as a result of winning the BCS championship game.

The only hope for the utes was the AP. But the AP does not take into consideration BCS rank or the computer polls. They are basically irrelevant to the AP Final Poll.
