USC is the only Pac-10 team that should be disinterested. No other team has been good enough to be disappointed in the bowls they go to. When Cal, Oregon State, Stanford, or Oregon go 12-0 or 11-1 a few years in a row, they can use the disinterested excuse. Oregon State should be kissing the Vegas Bowl's collective ball sack for inviting them. It's time to admit that the BCS schools aren't much, if any better than non-AQs. TCU would beat Oregon by 30. Hell, Oregon isn't even good enough to win the WAC.

Yeah the "depth of conference" BS the announcers were spewing last night was really pissing me off.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostUSC is the only Pac-10 team that should be disinterested. Depth doesn't matter that much. Only one or two teams go to the big games anyway. The NCAA should set up a 16 team playoff. Invited teams could decide on an individual basis between being in the tournament or going to a bowl game. My guess is it wouldn't take too many years before every invited team decided to be in the playoff.Originally posted by FMCoug View PostYeah the "depth of conference" BS the announcers were spewing last night was really pissing me off.Just try it once. The last time USC played in the Veg, Utah beat them. So there really is no upside for USC in playing a MWC team. If they win, they're supposed to; if they lose, it's humiliating. So they have more reason than the rest of the PAC-10 to avoid playing MWC teams.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostUSC is the only Pac-10 team that should be disinterested. With Carson Palmer and Troy Polomalu no less. Of course, they weren't NFL players yet, they were only paid like NFL players.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostThe last time USC played in the Veg, Utah beat them. I think that the pendulum has begun to swing. The best teams in the MWC are better than the best teams of the PAC 10. And that should be the case next year as well, maybe for the next several years if we end up getting AQ status.
