I suppose we should win the game first. Or even making a showing would be a good start.

Isn't Michigan the all-time winningest team? How do they determine best program?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Clever thread title. Hubris is always bad, but I like Oklahoma's chances. Their QB is better, although I'll need to see Bradford's girlfriend before I make my final decision.

The Sooners are already looking past the Gators.

Announcing the BYU game this week was a huge mistake for OU.

And therein lies the question. How do you determine the all-time strongest program? Well you can't, of course.

Yes, Michigan is the winningest program of all time, but if you use the post-leather-helmet era, I think they drop down to fifth or something. That's what this guy was trying to say about Notre Dame, too. Should you really consider a program best all-time if they're relying so heavily on wins from before WWII? The whole thing is just a sort of intellectual masturbation thing for college FB junkies.

History starts at the beginning, doesn't it?

I'm really looking forward to this.

Regardless the outcome it will be fun for me to go see my favorite college team play in my favorite pro teams new stadium. What I would really love is if Dallas plays a home game the next day or even on MNF, then I'd stick around for that one. I would imagine their 1st regular season game in their brand new stadium it'll be on Primetime somewhere.

I seriously may fly into Dallas on Thurs. Do the touristy thing. Then after the game begin a weeklong road trip that eventually ends up in New Orleans where they play Tulane in the SuperDome.

Right now I probably won't be able to do that and will just have to fly in on separate weekends, but if I can swing it, that's what I'm going to do.

If this game is the first weekend of the college football season then the NFL will not play their first games until the next weekend.

Well, I often have Notre Dame fans remind me "college football didn't start in 1960, you know."

I like to point out that unfortunately for Notre Dame fans, it didn't end in 1960, either.

Can't help you with Bradford's girlfriend, but it's always a good time for a picture of Tim Tebow's "girlfriend":

                      Is this Bradford's girlfriend?

No. It starts in 1972. Ask any zoob.

I think Utah has a solid claim that it is the greatest college school of all time. Have you not heard that Utah has had 2 undefeated seasons in the past 5 years. No other school can make that claim. Notre Dame, OK, Michigan, etc...all have solid though unspectacular football traditions.
