A player from the MWC will never again win one of these awards. Louie Sakoda didn't win the Groza or Guy award last year, despite having better numbers than they guy who won.

Pitta was jobbed. The stats this season are near identical except Pitta has 3 more TDs. Pitta's all-time stats though are NCAA best. And they give it to a junior. What a joke.

Pitta was robbed, better stats this year and has been at the top of TE stats the past 3 years.

I told a couple of buddies at work that Pitta won't win and it will go to Hernandez despite the numbers. The little guys winning these awards are few and far between now.

That's true, but Luke scored 24 touchdowns and averaged over 8 yards per carry that season... if there's a player head and shoulders better than the other candidates, they might get the award.

Freak that fetchin Staley for leaving after his junior year. He made the right choice but oh how our immediate future following that year could have changed the outcome of 2002 and beyond.

pitta deserved the award this year and he deserved it last year.

it is nice to have 2 MWC players on the AA team in Pitta and Jerry Hughes.
