That means Norton will get promoted to DC and USC will see no dropoff. More importantly UCLA will not get Norton.

Not a big hit, Pete never really stopped calling the D. It was PC's call to go with the Elephant this year. Next year, you'll see a return to the traditional 4-3 that PC runs.

That being said, there is some serious turnover this year at SC. I am not ready to say that it will have little effect next season.

I think SC recovers quickly, but can it be entirely seamless? we will see.

I think they'll be fine; Watson takes over the DLine and John Morton or Carl Smith (NFL guys) take over the offense. They'll have spring and the first half of fall camp to work out the kinks.
