    I believe there are 35 bowl games this year. Would the NCAA make an exception for a 5-7 team to go to a game if there were not 70 teams that were 6-6 or better?

    I know they've made exceptions in the past. I think it was North Texas or someone like that who won the Sun Belt but still had a losing record. They were allowed to play their bowl game.

      I don't know. I think there are 74 or 75 6+win teams this year, though.

        They won sun belt. If you win conference you can still go to bowl game with losing record.
