    Interesting.

The Texas SOS looks a lot better going by this poll.

Interesting to see TCU above Alabama since they're a tier below in the other polls. Also interesting to see Oklahoma in the top 10 with 5 losses.

BYU dropped with the win on Saturday and Utah moved up.

After rewatching the game a couple of times, BYU was lucky they won and they certainly didn't show anything in that game that would merit them being more highly esteemed by Vegas than they were a week ago.

Makes sense. BYU was 7 point favorite but the way the game played out, it should have been a pick 'em.

This is why the Vegas poll makes sense. I hate it in human polls when #17 loses a close game to #12 and #17 drops the obligatory five spots. Makes no sense at all.

Santos you've done a poll of your own formula in years past, are you doing that still? What are your current rankings?

I am not saying they should have moved either way. Just pointing it out. I don't know if I would say BYU was lucky to win. They played really good the first 3 quarters and then flamed out offensively in the 4th with back to back to back 3 and outs leaving the D hanging and giving Utah good field position. I don't think I would say they were lucky to win.

Haven't updated it this year. It's a computer poll. I think this Vegas poll is as good as you'll find, but it's not really "fair" in the sense that someone that's 9-3 could be #1 if all three losses came when a star player was down. I think the best ranking poll is the average computer poll that Massey collects at:

                        http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm

I think computer polls are the best, and an average of many polls is better than any single poll. The BCS computer average is bad because it ignores MOV. This is the best computer average I know of.

It's the post-season. Time for some solidarity, sister.

Massey is interesting. I didn't know the average score of all games this season was 35-16, I thought there was more parity than that. The home team won only 57% of the time, and the higher ranked team won 70% of the time, which means 1 in 3 games was an upset.

A week ago in the Division II playoffs, West Liberty beat Edinboro 84-63. 12 touchdowns to 9. A touchdown every 3 minutes. I see there's no defense in the Division II.
