  • Upset Special: Nevada over Boise

Nevada, after an abysmal start to the season is on fire right now and I think they beat Boise in a shootout somewhere in the neighborhood of a 51-48 type of game.

Nevada is averaging an insane 7.8 yards per carry this year and is averaging 60 ypg rushing more than the #2 rushing team in the country.

Boise is #1 in the nation in scoring and Nevada is #4. Nevada is averaging 52 ppg over their last 8 games. Nevada has 3 of the top 35 rushers nationally.
Everything in life is an approximation.

Nevada lost to Boise in 3 OT's the last time they visited the Smurf Turf. I hope they can pull it out tonight.

This is one of those upsets that is starting to become too trendy to happen.

Any chance Auburn beats Bama for the 8th time in 9 years? You can throw the records out when rivals play....

          Wrong thread.

Also, where are you getting your numbers? Alabama broke a 6-year streak last year.

That's my fear. I think Boise will handle them pretty easy. Mind you, my instincts haven't told me that so please don't hold me to it.

Oops, 7th Auburn win in 8 years. Also, the GameDay crew picked Illinois to beat Cincy today. Upsets all around.

The 31-21 wins over Hawaii and 35-32 over USU are kind of making me wary to pick Nevada. I think they lose 52-41 with 350-400 rushing yards.

Why? Are you jealous? Only a foolish Utah or BYU fan would want Boise to lose this game. It's called cutting off your nose to spite your face. TCU appears locked in ahead of Boise in the BCS standings. The winner of tomorrow's game may well play Boise in a bowl. We should want Boise to be undefeated and top 5 if that happens. I'm pulling for the Broncos.

That being said, it won't surprise me if Nevada comes back in the second half and wins this thing.

Exactly. Indy is not capable of an original thought. That being said, I fear an incredible Nevada come back and upset in a barn burner.
