My two best friends at BYU my freshman year were not LDS. One was a Catholic from New Jersey that came for the skiing and the other was a Protestant of some sort from Ohio that came for the business school.
The guy from Ohio eventually joined the church, went on a mission and so on and so forth.Comment

Three of the guys in our golf group are avid BYU fans, three of about 7. One played at BYU during the Hudspeth/Lavell era. Two have season tickets and one of them goes to away games a couple of times a year.
Two have always been non-members and if you asked the other one if he was LDS, I think he would tell you no although I am pretty darn sure he was born LDS because he is from southern Utah.
If we ever purge the fan base, these three will have to be purged. They drink alcohol and use the F word.Comment
