  • The KKK's rights were "trampled on" by Ole Miss

    http://friendsoftheprogram.net/2009/...with-ole-miss/

For those that were unaware, the KKK planned a demonstration on the Oxford campus to protest the dean barring the Rebel band from playing "Dixie Forever", which the students loudly ended with "The South shall rise again!" (a lesser-known ending: "Go to hell LSU!")

I, for one, wept a single tear for the KKK's loss of freedom of expression.

This is nothing new at Ole Miss, the Klan regularly demonstrates on the campus and often get their tender princess feelings hurt.

During last year's Obama/McCain debate at Ole Miss, the Klan announced they would hold a rally. I knew a couple of student volunteers, and exchanged texts asking how it was going; I was told the Klan left more than an hour before the debate began because they didn't like the stretch of lawn that they were given off in the corner and were told they would be arrested if they left that area. So they made a statement against the "repressive" campus security by leaving in a huff.
