  • UTAH vs. San Diego State University thread

Thankfully it looks like it will just be cold and not snowy at Rice-Eccles.

Both of these teams are coming off losses, and I'm curious to see which team did a better job bouncing back and preparing for today's game. I also have a good feeling that Wynn gained some confidence against TCU and will come out firing today. We'll also get Wide and the ground game going again.

It will be nice to send these seniors off. They've all played big roles in our success over the last three years.

What is there to say? The offense did everything they wanted to in the first half, the defense was stout, and the return game made some plays.

I feel great heading into next week.

Great thread. The details of the game were almost like being there, almost.

          Poor Boylen.

          Always propping up the unpopular.

I'm more than happy to help you with Hockey--I love it, but I'm definitely no help when it comes to Ute Football.

We need to dig that thread up again. I haven't had a chance to watch as much hockey recently. I'll get back into it after the regular season is over.

Sounds good, except I haven't seem much lately either. I imagine come Christmas time I'll be able to watch some more.

The Utes' offense looked terrific in the 1st half but didn't do squat in the 2nd half. I don't know if being up 38 at half time and the play calling being rather conservative had anything to do with it, but they really didn't sustain any kind of a drive for the last 30 minutes. Lackadaisical is how I would describe the offense after the break.

Utah's defense was dominant in the 1st half and very good in the 2nd half. Not much of a letdown at all.

The atmosphere was pretty dang boring at RES today and it only got more boring as the game progressed. A ton of people left during the 3rd quarter and those that stayed seemed to rather want to chitchat with their neighbor than watch what was happening on the field.

On top of that, I've never seen so few utefans posts for a Utah football game. There were twice as many posts during the second half of last week's game than there have been since the game started 6 hours ago.

I had to take my daughter to "New Moon" today. Priorities, you know.

I thought the game would be much closer than it was, so credit the coaches and players for getting ready for this game. Nice to send the seniors out with a blowout.

The Brooks TD catch was fantastic.

Next week should be interesting. If the Utese can weather the early storm and momentum the Cougars will have from being at home in the rivalry game, they shoud have a good shot to win the game.
