  • Does BYU not have copyrights to more than 2% of their games?

When BYUTV keeps insisting on showing a 13-12 win over a crappy Hawaii team in 1994 and a yawner of a 17-14 win over New Mexico in 1996, I have to wonder why they don't show any of about 200 recent BYU victories that were more compelling viewing than these games.

Maybe BYUTV will favor us in the future with endless re-runs of the 24-19 UNM game from last weekend. Here's to hoping.

I keep hoping that BYU will start releasing DVDs of great games, with some commentary and what not. I have watched the Oregon 2008 Civil War dvd at least 5 times. Of course to my Oregon friends I complain it isn't in BluRay, so I am just a never happy kind of guy.

The problem might be as simple as that no one at BYU has gotten around to editing other football games for airing on BYU-TV.

It wouldn't take very long to cut out the commercials and halftimes, but there is no immediate financial incentive for BYU to move forward and put more different games on the air.
