The current version of vBulletin places avatars on the top of the post. I figured out how to place them on the side which is what I think most are accustomed to. But let me know if you prefer one way vs. the other.

As Seattle would testify, I generally prefer on top. This is one time where sideways is the preferred position.
Also, a few other items for the queue:
1. Flash chat....are we going to have that option?
2. quoting in messages....for some reason, when you reply to quote, the quote appears AFTER the text, as opposed to before. Am I doing something wrong?
3. CJF praised the new 100 posts per page format. I prefer the old way. How do I switch it back to limit posts per page?
4. and does anyone know how to get more smilies here? The SC board has a TON of them and they can often be used in very humorous ways. Can I import them?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

(1) Why don't you research it for us? Google FlashChat.
(2) I am not following you here. Can you give more details?
(3) Go to your user cp > edit options > Number of Posts to Show Per Page
(4) That'll be down my priority list."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Guys, I may not be the best person to research this. I have no clue what any of it means.
I did come across this link, which makes it seem pretty easy to do, but then again I have no idea what version we are using.

Truthfully, the chat function is nice for football and basketball games. Rocky gave us a play by play over at CB for the LBSU basketball game. it was a nice option for those that can't watch the game live.
I now have a bigger problem. Our A/C doesn't seem to be working. You can hear the main fan blowing, but no air is coming out the vents, much less cold air. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I didn't have an avatar at CG because (a) I have no skills, and (b) notwithstanding the brand identity, the Monty Burns thing on CB and Utefans seems a bit dated. But inspired by the Dude's excellent efforts the past few days, I devoted three minutes, at least, to the project and have generated an avatar, a photo of me from my summer job in Juarez.
And given it's rivalry week, I regard this as an homage to the late Mr. Crimson, which I know mpfunk will appreciate.
