I'm working 7a-7p in the ER today, so we celebrated Christmas a day early. My kids were psyched at the chance to have Christmas early (my son: "Can Dad work on Christmas every year?" Brings a tear...). I have to say, it was one of our best Christmases. My wife's parents came over for a while, but for the most part, it was just the family. My son and I logged 8+ hours on MarioKart (coolest Wiigame ever, I say), we ate, we played a few games, ate some more. The best part--no running aroung visiting relatives. They're doing that today...hehehe.
And I get time and a half...I might just work this every year.
