  • A suggested sign at CGD

Here is a suggestion over on CB.

    http://www.cougarboard.com/noframes/...tml?id=4938980

My criticism is of the thinking, not the person suggesting it. Of course as expected, many on CB support the idea. Of course some had the good sense to at least suggest leaving off the last part.

By booting me from CB they miss out on someone with the guts to call these folks out and suggest they think beyond their little consituency.

My thinking is most of the nation seeing a sign such as this would think, there go those self righteous mormon assholes again. Why would you get a boner knocking someone like Tebow. He has a good Christian image as far as I am concerned. Do we want the college football world too think that we as BYU fans find everyone else to be lacking when it comes to morals.

I especially look forward to someone telling me where my thinking on this is wrong.

    You should suggest this:

Max Hall, real missionaries do it for two years!
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Looks like there were some calling the poster out on it. They don't need me over there after all.

I still don't get the mindset though of someone who thinks this reflects well on us or how it is funny.

Who is 'spinner' on CB? I think that's the first post I've ever seen him make, but his profile says he's been around since 2001.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Try again. The overwhelming majority responding in that thread do not like it.

Look at 3 posts above. I already admitted I overstated. I still look forward to the day when you aren't late in recognizing things.

I'm not interested in what anyone else has to say but you.

I noticed in another thread you have finally come to realize there is a difference in playing 1AA teams and top 10 teams. Congrats.

Once I saw you eventually got off the Crowton is great theme, I knew you had the ability to grow and learn. Too bad you always want to debate me. If you would just listen and pay attention, your growth rate would be much faster.

I know. Why were all of the idiots so upset about this calendar? It is mild even compared to the swinsuit issue of SI.

Perhaps some day you will stop making erroneous characterizations of my past positions on different topics, but I think the Old Dog, New Tricks Doctrine is just too powerful.
