  • I will be a sideline credentialed photographer for Oregon/USC!

Representing Scout.com, based on the work of these photos I was approached by eDuck's main photog and asked me if I would want to use their second credential.

    Walter Thurmond's final college play

    Riley/Best fumble exchange

Ed Dickson reaches for the end zone

Kenny Rowe gets to the QB

DDD and Sipi I am assigned to the USC sideline so I will try and get some good shots of Pete. Any inside info you can give me about what assistant coaches to watch or players on the sideline would be awesome.

Sorry for my bragging about this I am wedding night caliber excited!

Dude. USC cheerleaders. More is better.

I'm certain this will cause much less confusion and embarrassment. Congrats!

I guess this means you'll be skipping the Priesthood Session.

No I'll be skipping trick or treating, game is October 31. However I will be skipping priesthood for the Oregon/WSU game this weekend. HFN Jr. selected that game from all available choices when the season tickets came. So he is to blame for my sin.

Very cool news. Let me ask around and see what pics people would want to see.

I agree that Song Girl pics are always welcome, but only some of the squad goes to this game. It won't be the full squad. And this year is kinda an iffy group. There are some good ones, though.

Rumors are that Stafon will be released next week. I wonder if they will let him travel with the team even though he won't play?

Also, are you limited to sideline or can you roam pre-game, half-time, and post-game? If you can, can you get into the locker room? get pics of the team doing the 7 Nation Army stuff?

what a really cool way to see a game. One bummer.....how much of the "game" will you be able to really see? Is there some word product expectation or will you be lucky to snap 10 or 20 pics? I am not sure I could restrain myself from being a fan over being a photog.

You have been on message boards with me since Cougarfan, do you think anyone selected me to write something about the game? In email exchanges so far today with the main photog he takes between 500-700 shots a game.

I will have access to the field 3 hours before the game, halftime and post game. I am unsure of locker room, but I would probably go Duck locker room anyway.

The not cheering part will be by far the hardest, he has already admonished me in every email about not cheering or wearing Duck gear. Maybe I will rock a BYU shirt.

I'm stoked for you; speaking from experience, nothing beats being down on the field.

                  Pre Game:

Get a shot of the team as they pull into Autzen; in recent SC tradition, the buses will be rocking.

You can't go wrong with shots of Ken Norton Jr and his LB's or Jethro Franklin and the DL. Those two are the excitable ones on the staff, if you hear trash talking, it's most likely coming from them. Norton is especially funny, he's talking the whole game.

Coach McNair has a thing where he huddles with the RB's and preaches ball security, this happens in the end zone every week.

Catch the team before kickoff, they're usually chanting "war time......war time......war time" as they're waiting in the tunnel; this usually starts as soon as they get out of the locker room.

Game: On offense, get some shots of #53 G Jeff Byers. His motor never stops and I'll guarantee he's hitting someone. Defense, if you can catch #91 Jurrell Casey in action.

                  Post Game:

Win or lose, the team will always go to the SC section and salute the fans as the band plays Conquest & the Alma Mater.

Then find Sipi Tau and the rest of the Tongan Trojans as we celebrate a victory over the Ducks. I will make sure we all wear something slimming; please join us for a celebratory bowl of Kava in the parking lot after our photo shoot.

HFN That is pretty awesome. I was on the field for TCU BYU 2005, the infamous non TD game. There is nothing like being on the field.

Sipi, are you flying up to Kal this weekend? That game is going to be very interesting. I assume that with Stafon out, CJ Gable is now officially out of the doghouse? Or what have you heard? More carries for Bradford? Or time to try out some of the new ponies?

Why is CJ in the doghouse anyway? I can never get a straight story. It can't be ball control because Joltin Joe drops the ball once a game.

Also, I am digging how Havili is getting a lot more action this season. He looks more versatile than ever this year.

Yeah, I'm headed up this weekend. From what Stan told me, AB will probably get Stafon's carries. I'm glad for AB, he's a great kid and has waited patiently; I hope they give him the majority of carries. He's the type of back that needs at least 15 carries in the game.

I'll shoot you a PM about CJ, let's just say it's a common occurence. Stan's been doing this the moment he stepped on campus, I'm glad to see he's getting some recognition.
